The website underwent a comprehensive transformation, where we elevated the overall design, enhanced SEO, optimized loading speed, and perfected mobile responsiveness. Our objective was to craft a user interface that seamlessly echoed the direction we aimed for in the realm of mobile experiences. Employing identical components, we tailored them to seamlessly align with the web environment.

Data driven design

We used Amplitude to analyze our user data and see how many people were sending money through our website versus our mobile app. This gave us a better understanding of how to allocate resources for this project.

In the past 90 days, 65,872 users created a transaction using our website. This is a significant number of users making transactions through our secure and public platform.

This data tells us that our website is a popular way for people to send money. We will continue to invest in our website to make it even easier and more convenient for users to send money.

A new design language

The stakeholders wanted a clean, easy-to-use, and modern website. To meet this goal, the product team built a library of UI components. These components ensure that web elements such as buttons, color combinations, typography, and other components are always consistently arranged, organized, and accessible. I also made some changes to provide a foundation for the company's digital brand in the future.

Improving the hero

Goals:

  • Modernized content slices with custom components

Custom slices and animation

Custom slices were created so our marketing team can easily switch out graphics and content to suit their needs. An animated section spotlighting key features of our app was created to drive both new and current customers to our mobile app.

Corridors and reviews

Custom components were created to highlight our most popular send to countries. When clicked the user is navigated to different another site with custom content created specifically for that country. We made the decision to create a content slice that includes app reviews that lifts credibility though displaying real people’s comments. This will help to prove the trustworthiness of our product.

Responsive view

To make the website mobile responsive, we used a responsive design framework, optimized images, simplified navigation, and tested on various devices.

Outcome

The recent design update has really given our organic search channels a boost, with a significant increase of 14.7% in web registrations.
